Ovarian cyst is a fluid- filled sac found in or on the ovaries. It is normal for a woman to produce a cyst during every menstrual cycle! Usually, cysts will shrink or gone within a menstrual cycle or two. However, if the cyst keep growing, that’s when it becomes a problem.

It is a condition where the endometrial tissue found outside the cavity of uterus (endometrium). Commonly found in ovaries, fallopian tubes or outer wall of uterus.

Down Syndrome Screening

Down's syndrome is a genetic chromosome problem that can be diagnosed before birth (prenatally) or after birth (postnatally). During pregnancy, there are two types of tests that can be done to look for Down's syndrome - a screening test and a diagnostic test.

A screening test looks at the risk in this pregnancy of the baby being born with Down's syndrome. If your screening test shows a higher risk, you will be offered a diagnostic test for verification. Screening tests do not increase your risk of miscarriage.

The two common main tests that are used to diagnose Down's syndrome prenatally are amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. There is a small risk of complications with diagnostic tests, including miscarriage. However, we are using iGene Diagnostics testing that does not raise any risk in miscarriage.
